Who is the data controller?
Stella Barnes is the sole data controller for information collected through this site. To ask a question about your data, or to exercise any of the rights below, email stellabarnes121212@gmail.com.
What data is collected, and why
- Contact form — your name, email address, subject, message, and the IP address of the request. Used only to reply to your enquiry. Lawful basis: consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR).
- Essential session cookie (PHPSESSID) — required to keep the site working during your visit (form state, CSRF protection). No consent required as this is strictly necessary.
- Web server logs — the hosting provider (Hostinger) records standard request logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) for security and diagnostics. Retained per Hostinger's own policy.
No analytics cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party pixels are used on this site.
How long data is kept
Contact enquiries are held for up to 24 months from the date of your message, then deleted. Messages flagged as spam are deleted sooner. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time.
Who your data is shared with
No personal data is shared with third parties, sold, or used for marketing. Data is stored on Hostinger UK/EU servers.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the data held about you (right of access).
- Ask for it to be corrected (rectification) or deleted (erasure).
- Ask for processing to be restricted, or to object to processing.
- Withdraw your consent for the contact-form data at any time — this stops future processing but does not undo past processing.

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top. This is a personal consultancy site — updates are infrequent.
