We Are London brought together young people from diverse backgrounds to explore questions of identity, belonging and what it means to be a Londoner through creative mask-making and performance.

The Project

Young participants created striking visual masks that represented their identities, heritage and aspirations. The project celebrated the diversity of London while exploring shared experiences of growing up in a multicultural city.

Creative Process

Working with professional artists, the young people learned mask-making techniques while engaging in discussions about identity, representation and cultural heritage. The masks became powerful symbols of self-expression and pride.

Exhibition & Performance

The project culminated in a public exhibition and performance where the young people shared their work and stories with audiences. The striking visual imagery made a powerful statement about youth voice and representation.
